parenting can be hard

We understand that parenting can be hard, especially when you and your partner/co-parent disagree or have different styles. Two individuals come into relationship and parenting with two different sets of expectations based primarily on their own experiences of how they were parented growing up. If this is not discussed or worked through, assumptions can lead to conflict.

Parenting experts and support

At West Michigan Wellness Group, we recognize the stress that parenting struggles and differences can create at home or with your co-parent. Sometimes, a neutral third party can provide the perspective needed to develop a collaborative plan for raising your children. When parents are "on the same page," it helps children feel safe, loved, and secure. And if you are a single parent, you don’t have to do it alone. Having a therapist to journey with you might be just what you need.

Our team includes several therapists specializing in a variety of parenting strategies and tools. Couples counseling may also be helpful for fostering healthier communication between parents. In addition, we have a specialist who works primarily with co-parents, even those in high conflict separation or divorce situations. Any or all of these options might move you toward a more peaceful and enjoyable relationship with your partner and your child(ren).

Be proactive
