Katy Kloosterman

Graduate Intern

I believe we all experience seasons where life feels overwhelming, uncertain, or difficult to navigate alone. My work in soul care, strengths development, and spiritual formation continued shaping my desire to help people move toward greater healing, connection, and self-awareness. I strive to create a compassionate and grounded space where clients feel safe to explore anxiety, grief, relationships, life transitions, and personal growth.

Counseling Approach:

Katy approaches counseling with a deep respect for each person’s story. She believes that meaningful change begins in a space where clients feel seen, heard, and safe enough to explore both their struggles and their strengths. Her work is grounded in a person-centered, relational approach, integrating insights from attachment theory, interpersonal neurobiology, and trauma-informed care. She also draws from her background in soul care, honoring the emotional, relational, and spiritual dimensions of healing.

Katy values authenticity and believes that healing often happens in the context of relationship. She considers it a privilege to come alongside clients as they make sense of their experiences, reconnect with their internal resources, and move toward greater integration and wholeness.
