Life can be more difficult than we ever imagined. Perhaps the things you wanted for your life seem so far away and unattainable. Suddenly, stress has seeped in until all your enthusiasm has vanished. Challenging, and sometimes toxic or abusive, relationships can shatter our self-esteem and make us question who we are. Counseling is not just a job to me. I know how difficult and overwhelming these and other life struggles can be, and I treasure the opportunity to sit with you as you sort through what’s next.
Counseling approach:
People enter my office drained and feeling incapable of taking next steps. I am intentional with how our time together will benefit your life. I have a three layer system starting with building our relationship while helping you feel safe and comfortable. Next, I equip each client with tools to be self aware and build self regulation into their daily lives. This might be through methods like grounding, relaxation techniques and Psychotherapeutic Yoga. The third layer is processing. It often just feels like talking but in this verbal processing, we move through and beyond the stressors that brought you here. These layers give you the keys to unlock greater healing and strength.
