Marriage and couples counseling
Many of us have and will experience strain within our relationships including family, marriage, friendships, coworkers and more. Relationship counseling provides a neutral, safe environment for working through the relational dynamics and creating insight about what you can and can’t control and/or impact in the relationship.
Marriage counseling can help couples with, but is not limited to:
- Communication
- Intimacy
- Conflict resolution
- Parenting
- Trust
- Affair recovery
- Building connection
Couples counseling
Requests for marriage counseling have increased greatly in the last several years. We understand the struggle and the hurt that happens inside of a marriage. You may feel hopeless, but we are here to help hold the hope for you and provide space to rebuild trust, connection, intimacy, and communication. West Michigan Wellness Group has multiple therapists, at both of our locations, that do marriage work with a variety of approaches. We also take a team approach and can offer individual counseling if that need arises in addition to work on the relationship.
Be proactive
You don’t need to wait until your marriage or relationship is in crisis to get help. We are continually encouraged by those couples that choose to come in for assistance while dating, engaged or newly married. Being proactive in marriage can set you up for a longer lasting, healthier relationship where both people can thrive.
Premarital counseling
Part of doing work on the marriage starts with Premarital counseling. We have several therapists that love this work and couples walk away feeling encouraged, equipped and prepared for the marriage, not just for the wedding.
